When it comes to dining at Walt Disney World in Florida, you’re spoiled for choice with themed restaurants, brilliant character meals and inventive menus. But surprisingly, what you’re not always guaranteed is a great view.
Many of the restaurants inside the theme parks are indoors and viewless – even revolving ones, like the Garden Grill at Epcot, which spins gently through a dark interior (though you do get a wave from Chip and Dale along the way).
So, if you’re hoping for a table with a view – perhaps to catch a spectacular Florida sunset or even glimpse some fireworks – you often need to look slightly further afield. Many of the best restaurants with views are found at Disney’s fabulous resort hotels or around Disney Springs, the resort’s stylish lakeside shopping village.
Here are eight restaurants with brilliant views at Walt Disney World.
1. Toledo – tapas, steak and seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Perched on the top floor of the Gran Destino Tower, Toledo offers floor-to-ceiling windows that deliver panoramic views across Walt Disney World.
One side of the restaurant overlooks Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach and Hollywood Studios; on the other, you can spy the Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary Resort.
The food consists of elegant, Spanish-themed dishes. We have eaten here several times and really enjoy the cooking – although the service can be a little slow. To find out more, read our full Toledo review.
And it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sun go down. If you time your dinner right (aim for around 8 -9pm) you can catch the distant sparkle of the Magic Kingdom fireworks on one side of the restaurant – or Epcot on the other.

If you’re not after a full meal, you can enjoy many of the same views by heading to the adjacent Dahlia Lounge for a drink.
Fun fact: the best fireworks view might just be from the ladies’ loo, thanks to its direct sightline through those spectacular windows!
Terrace access is open to diners – so as long as you’re not afraid of heights, take a step outside and enjoy a sweeping view of Walt Disney World’s lush, green sprawl.
2. California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This classic Disney dining experience still delivers serious wow-factor. Set at the very top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests take a private elevator to a sleek restaurant with open kitchens and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom.
We found the food to be beautiful and creative – although not every dish was a ten out of ten, so read our review to find the hits and misses.
Book for around 7:30–8:00pm and you’ll get the full golden-hour experience – dinner with a sunset, followed by a view from the restaurant terrace of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Some people find the terrace high and a bit narrow, although my husband isn’t keen on heights and was absolutely fine. It’s a different experience from watching the display up-close. You can’t, for example, see the lasers on the castle (you’re too far away for that) but you get a great view of the bursts of colour across the sky.
However, if you’re not keen, you can always enjoy the display from the comfort of your indoor table (you can try asking for a window seat when you book your table).
3. Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Another high-rise gem, this elegant rooftop restaurant at Disney’s Riviera Resort offers brilliant views across the Caribbean Beach Resort, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. If you dine in the evening, you can often catch Epcot’s fireworks from the terrace.
The French-Italian menu offers beautifully cooked dishes (breakfast here includes a popular character meal, while dinner is a more upscale affair). Even if you dine indoors, do step out on to the terrace before or after your meal for a view that feels truly grown-up Disney.
4. Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

If heights aren’t your thing, this one’s for you. Set right on the water’s edge at the Grand Floridian, Narcoossee’s is a charming, nautical-themed restaurant serving luxury dishes such as seafood and steaks, with unbeatable views across the Seven Seas Lagoon.
From the windows or the lakeside terrace, you’ll have a lovely view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks, with the added bonus of the Electrical Water Pageant – a charming, old-school Disney boat parade lit up with twinkling sea creatures. If you used to love the Main Street Electric Light Parade, this water-based spectacle is just the thing for you!
5. Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
This casual, open-air restaurant sits right on the water in the middle of the lake at Coronado Springs, accessed by a series of wooden bridges. It’s far more budget-friendly than many of the rooftop venues, and the relaxed menu – think bowls, salads, and bar snacks – is perfect for a lighter evening meal.
If you grab a seat on the Epcot-facing side, you’ll even spot the fireworks twinkling in the distance, reflected in the lake below. It’s a hidden gem for a relaxed drink with a view.
6. Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs

Set on the shores of Disney Springs’ lake, Summer House combines airy, beachy interiors with a relaxed California-inspired menu. Read our review to find out what we thought of the food. It’s a brilliant daytime stop, but at sunset the whole lake turns gold and the view feels especially peaceful.
Don’t miss the cookie bar on your way out – but maybe save it for after dinner rather than before! Or you can get those cookies brought straight to your table as a dessert option.
7. The Boathouse at Disney Springs
If you want a restaurant that combines waterfront views with a buzzy atmosphere, The Boathouse is the one. Set in The Landing area of Disney Springs, you can dine on the covered dock and watch the Amphicars launch, or sit indoors and enjoy the vintage maritime vibe.
Boats from nearby Disney resorts come and go throughout the day, and after dark, there’s often live music to enjoy as the area comes alive. Read our review of The Boathouse and our guide to Disney Springs to find out what else there is to do in this part of Disney World.
8. Rose and Crown Dining Room at Epcot

While most of Epcot’s dining options are indoors, the Rose and Crown Dining Room in the UK Pavilion offers a rare chance to enjoy a meal with a view of the park’s nighttime spectaculars. The restaurant features a lakeside patio, giving you a prime position to watch Epcot’s Luminous The Symphony of Us fireworks display over the World Showcase Lagoon. This takes place at 9pm every night, so make sure you time your meal for a similar time.
However, securing a spot on the patio can be challenging. Seating is limited, and while you can request a patio table when you check in, it’s not guaranteed. Some guests opt for the Rose and Crown Fireworks Dining Package, which includes a prix fixe meal and reserved patio seating for the fireworks. This package offers an unobstructed view, but it comes at an additional cost and requires advance booking.
It’s worth noting that even with patio seating, the experience may not be ideal for everyone. The proximity to the fireworks can be intense, and the canopy over some patio areas might obstruct parts of the view.
And while the atmosphere is charming, we found the food to be average compared to other dining options at Epcot. Read our full review of the Rose and Crown dining room.
Should you look for restaurant with a good view?
A Disney World holiday is packed with action – but a well-chosen restaurant with a view can offer a much-needed breather from the parks.
Whether you’re watching fireworks from a rooftop, sipping a cocktail beside a lake or enjoying a front-row view of a Florida sunset, these restaurants all serve up something a little bit special.
One extra tip – although all of these restaurants are fairly relaxed, some have a smart-casual dress code..
Now we have descended before in the clothes we’ve been wearing at the parks all day when we ran out of time to change and the restaurants in question were fine about that – but we would have preferred to feel slightly less of a hot, sticky mess in such elegant surroundings. So if you get time to return to your resort and freshen up before your meal, that’s something we would definitely recommend!
