About UK Disney Magic

Welcome to the Magic

Meet the team behind the UK Disney Magic blog

We’re two UK-based Disney fans bringing you the latest tips and updates from the Disney parks to help you plan your next magical adventure.

Disney has always been part of our lives and now it’s part of our family’s lives too. Over the years, planning a trip may have become more complicated but the magic is just the same as ever and we’d love to share it with you. Everything we share comes from our own Disney adventures, so our recommendations are based on real trips, honest opinions and the things we would genuinely choose for our own family holidays.

Heather

I’ve been a die-hard Disney fan since I took my first trip to Walt Disney World with my parents in the 1990s. Now I love taking trips with my husband and two boys – who have caught the bug too, and are expecially obsessed with all things Star Wars and Galaxy’s Edge.

Mostly, my trips have been to Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Paris, but my dream is to visit all the Disney parks – so keep following as I’ll hopefully tick California, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo off my list.

I love nothing more than planning my next Disney trip and love sharing my tips and tricks with you!

Jenny

Growing up with a Disney-daft Dad, I had no choice but to love all things Mouse. But unlike some of the other things he got me into (a football team that doesn’t like winning things), there are no lows involved in following Disney.

I was lucky enough to go on regular trips to Florida as a child and now I travel there with my husband and son. We love staying at Disney resorts, wearing Disney clothes, eating Disney food and generally getting completely lost in the magic. No matter how old and cynical I get, there is still something about stepping over the threshold of a Disney theme park as the notes of a classic movie soundtrack rise and fall in the background that makes my fingertips tingle. It’s a very special place.

Favourite ride

Soarin’. I don’t do thrill rides (one of my first memories of Disney is being absolutely terrified of Space Mountain) but I adore the magical ones – and this one makes me believe I’ve had the world’s most beautiful destinations sailing beneath my toes. I can’t go on it too many times.

Favourite Disney snack

It’s got to be Pineapple Dole Whips.

Favourite Disney restaurant

Space 220 at Epcot, Florida – delicious food and stunning theming.

Favourite Disney character

Donald – I can (sometimes) empathise with those incoherent temper tantrums!
