Did Hotel Cheyenne get a ye-ha or a ye-nah from UK Disney Magic?
Hotel Cheyenne is one of the original hotels that opened when the park opened in 1992 with a Western theme and now has lovely elements of Toy Story weaved in throughout the site.
We arrived in the morning before check-in, so really just made a dash to the luggage room to store our cases before hopping on the shuttle bus to Disneyland.
First impressions were of quite a grand, sprawling hotel – even though it’s only officially rated as a three star – with lots of cute Toy Story touches everywhere you look.
We were notified on the app when our room was ready, so it was nice to head back for the afternoon to freshen up and recharge before going back for dinner and fireworks.

The rooms are separated into blocks named after Western icons and are centred around a huge courtyard, which makes you feel like you’re in a town in the Wild West.
Everything seemed quite easy to find and there was lots of space for children to run around and get some fresh air.
There is a shop here along with a Starbucks disguised as a Wild West bank as well as restaurant Chuck Wagon Cafe which serves buffet breakfast and dinner and a bar – the Red Garter Saloon.
Is Hotel Cheyenne worth it?

We stayed in a standard family room, which had two double beds in. The room had lovely Toy Story theming with pictures of Woody and Jessie, curtains with a checked pattern on them and a really cute lamp in the shape of a cowboy boot.
The room felt spacious enough for four of us with room to hang clothes and stash our suitcases away.
There was a kettle and a coffee maker with a decent amount of coffee and tea, which was very welcome after a long day at the parks.
The bathroom had a bath and shower and was complete with Toy Story themed toiletries.
Hotel Cheyenne facilities

We had the DLP dining plan, so had breakfast at the hotel on both mornings we were there. It’s served at the Chuck Wagon Cafe and has lots of lovely themed seats in the shape of wagons.
The dining room is massive, so at peak times can feel a little hectic with people coming and going but to be honest we were always able to get what we wanted from the buffet.
And the selection of food was great in my opinion. A good cooked breakfast with bacon, pork sausages and really great tasting plant based sausages. Thankfully there was also Mickey waffles and an array of syrups and sauces to put on them.
There was a good selection of cereals, cold meats, cheeses and smoked salmon, along with lovely pastries and a great looking Mickey cake bread. You can read more about what we thought of the breakfast at Hotel Cheyenne in our full review.
Can you walk from Hotel Cheyenne to Disneyland Paris?
In terms of getting to the parks there was a regular bus shuttle or you could walk over there in 15 to 20 minutes.
The shop was nicely stocked with merchandise as well as drinks and snacks – a word of warning though they don’t stock painkillers, as it’s a rule in France that they can be sold in only pharmacies. We found this out the hard way when my partner suffered a migraine one evening and we had forgotten our paracetamol – so will always take our own in the future.
All in all we loved this hotel, it was good value for money, cosy and well themed – we will definitely be back!
