When will Disney announce the Free Dining 2027 deal?

For many UK families planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disney’s Free Dining offer is one of the most eagerly anticipated deals of the year.

The promotion can save families around £1,000 (and sometimes more) off the cost of a Florida holiday. Because of that, Disney fans often start watching for announcements from around March, ahead of the traditional spring launch of the offer.

Disney has now added a “Free Dining & Drinks coming soon” banner to its official UK website, confirming the offer is about to return.

Even more notably, the Irish Disney site states bookings will open on 21 April 2026, which strongly suggests this will also be the UK launch date.

When Disney usually announces Free Dining

In recent years, Disney has normally released its main UK Free Dining & Drinks offer in April, when the following year’s holidays go on sale.

For example, the deal for 2026 travel was announced in mid-April 2025, giving UK guests the chance to book packages that included free dining alongside Disney’s popular 14-day park ticket deal.

If Disney follows the same pattern – and their advance promotions suggests they will – many travellers expect the 2027 offer to appear in April 2026.

While the deal may not be confirmed in advance, the April timing has become something of a tradition for UK bookings.

What the 2026 Free Dining deal included

The 2026 promotion gave guests booking a Walt Disney World package several perks, including:

  • Free dining depending on the resort category
  • Disney’s 14-day Magic Ticket for the price of 7
  • Free drinks at participating quick-service locations
  • Dining credits to use across the parks and resorts

The exact dining plan included depended on the hotel category booked. Several of these perks are also part of the wider package deals available to UK travellers, which you can read more about in our guide 5 Disney World deals UK visitors get that US visitors often have to pay for.

Often:

  • Value resorts (for example Pop Century, Art of Animation and the All-Star resorts) received quick-service meals
  • Moderate resorts (such as Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs and the Port Orleans resorts) often received the Quick Service Dining Plan
  • Deluxe resorts (for instance the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, the Boardwalk Inn and the Yacht and Beach Club) could receive the standard Disney Dining Plan

That structure has been fairly consistent across previous UK offers.

Quick service vs table service dining

Because of the different structures of the offer, UK visitors should always check which version of Free Dining they are receiving.

At value resorts, the deal usually includes one quick-service meal per person per night, usually including a drink and sometimes a snack credit (similar to getting breakfast in an all-inclusive holiday, although you could put your meal credit towards a quick-service lunch or dinner instead).

At moderate resorts, the Quick-Service Dining Plan typically includes two quick-service meals per person per night, with drinks, plus two snack credits.

And this is different again from deluxe resorts, where the deal often includes the full Disney Dining Plan, which adds sit-down table-service meals in addition to quick-service options.

Dining Plan rumours: Could Disney change the Free Dining offer?

While the promotion has been a staple of UK bookings for years, there are rumours Disney may be experimenting with different types of offers.

For example, Disney recently introduced promotions where children receive a free dining plan when adults purchase one.

Disney has also begun adding new perks for hotel guests rather than focusing only on discounts.

For the free dining deal, this may include some extra incentives to book early, with added savings on holiday packages. We have also heard that the first 2,500 qualifying bookings at Moderate and Deluxe resorts will get a free Minnie Van transfer from Orlando International Airport to your resort on arrival – a lovely bonus after a long-haul flight.

With global uncertainties and growing competition from Universal Studios – including a new Orlando park opening in 2026 and long-term plans for a UK park in Bedfordshire – Disney will be keen to stay competitive for UK holidaymakers.

What does this mean for the Free Dining Deal? Some rumours suggest:

  • different dining plan tiers could be included
  • Disney could look at smaller targeted dining promotions
  • or there could be additional perks bundled with Disney resort stays.

Whatever the outcome, we hope it’s good news for UK Disney fans.

Should you wait for Free Dining?

For many UK travellers, the Free Dining deal is still one of the best-value promotions Disney releases each year.

Even if the dining plan itself doesn’t always save money for every traveller, getting it included for free can make a big difference to the overall cost of a Walt Disney World holiday.

The deal is also popular because it helps families budget for food in advance, rather than worrying about meal costs during their trip.
