One of the best things we’ve learned this week is that the free dining offer has returned to Disney World!
It’s big news as it could be a great time to snap up your 2027 holiday to the ‘happiest place on Earth’.
Read on to find out everything you need to know about the Free Dining & Drinks deal for 2027 – including which resorts are included, what you’ll get, the key dates to know, and how to book before this offer disappears.
Disney World free dining 2027: What’s the big deal?

So, for UK guests, the offer is:
- One free Quick-Service meal and a free drink with your meal per person for each night of your stay for guests booking a preferred room at a Value resort.
- A free Quick-Service Dining Plan for all guests booking a Moderate resort for each night of your stay – this means you get two Quick-Service meals with a drink and one snack each day, with a free resort mug.
- One free Table-Service Dining Plan for each guest staying in a Deluxe hotel – this means each guest gets a Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal, a drink with your meals, a snack each day and a resort mug for each night of your stay.
Tempted by the offer but want to know more about how the dining plan actually works in practice? What’s new about the 2027 free dining deal?
For 2027, there are a few key changes to be aware of with Disney’s Free Dining & Drinks offer. While the promotion still offers strong value across Moderate and Deluxe resorts, it’s a little more limited at Value resorts, where free dining is now only available on Preferred Rooms rather than standard rooms. There’s also a brand-new dining tier included this year – the Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan – which offers even more meals per night, including two table-service meals, one quick-service meal, drinks with each meal, a snack and a refillable resort mug. However, one of the biggest differences is that the offer is no longer combined with the popular 14-Day Magic Ticket for the price of 7 deal, meaning guests wanting the full 14-day ticket will now need to pay 2027 prices separately
What’s the best deal to go for?

Well, if you’re trying to keep costs down, the Value resort deal is a good pick – however you’ll still have to cover two more meals and snacks for your party each day. Also, this year the deal is only available on preferred rooms at Value resorts, rather than Standard rooms. If your priority is budget, we have some top savings tips on how to keep costs down on Disney holidays.
The middle ground of a Moderate resort looks pretty good as you get two meals each a day – then can splurge as little or as much as you like on top-up food each day. Don’t forget Disney World has some pretty good Quick-Service spots like Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom, which serves up some seafood specials, which often get rave reviews and you could dine pretty well on just Quick-Service at Epcot’s World Showcase alone, so this could be a good halfway house and mean you’ve pretty much paid for most of your food before you go. For more fabulous Quick-Service destinations, see the full list of our favourite budget Disney dining picks.
Now, if you’re keen on trying some of the popular but pricey Table-Service restaurants across Walt Disney World, it might be worth considering a Deluxe hotel with the free Table-Service Dining Plan. It’s worth knowing that some restaurants like Space 220 and the California Grill have not been included in the Dining Plan in recent years. However, a lot of excellent Table-Service restaurants are, including all of our favourite character buffets, like the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom, where you can meet Winnie the Pooh and friends. We have a full review of our Crystal Palace dining experience, or you can read the full list of our latest Disney dining reviews.
So although a Deluxe hotel is always going to be a bit costly, the saving of a dining plan could be worth it if you want to check out some of Disney World’s favourite eateries.
Free dining: How does it compare to other Disney deals?
There is a reason Disney regulars get so excited about the free dining & drinks deal. Depending on which tier of the deal you get with your resort booking, the total value from free dining can range from several hundred pounds, for one quick service meal a day at a value resort, to well over £3,000 for a fortnight’s family holiday with the full dining plan included.
For families, free dining can offer the best value, particularly if the full Disney Dining Plan is included. For example:
- A 14-night stay at Disney’s Disney’s Coronado Springs (a moderate resort) in October 2026 with the Quick Service Dining Plan could save a family around £1,399 in dining credits alone.
- At deluxe resorts like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, the full Disney Dining Plan could represent more than £3,000 of value for the same family.
This depends, of course, on whether you plan to eat at Disney throughout your stay, but many families value the convenience of having meals included while staying at a Disney resort.
