The 25 best budget dining options at Walt Disney World

Disney’s food has a reputation for being expensive but there are also budget dining options if you know where to look.

Quick-service restaurants usually offer cheaper meals without compromising on the Disney magic and, unlike table-service restaurants in Florida, there’s no expectation to tip. With gratuities typically around 20%, that saving alone can make a big difference to your overall food budget. Our top tip for finding the full list of quick-service restaurants is to use the filters on the Disney dining page, which allows you to sort by ‘quick-service’. The other bonus about eating quick-service is that you don’t have to book in advance.

If you’re trying to stick to a food budget, it’s also definitely worth considering a Disney Dining Plan. These effectively allow you to pay for a lot of your food in advance of your trip – and at certain times of the year, there are offers that give you the Quick Service Dining Plan for free – if you stay at a Disney hotel. There are some important caveats, so read our piece on Is the Disney Dining Plan worth it? to find out more.

Remember, you don’t have to dine in the parks at all – read our tips on dining at Disney on a budget. And if you do stop by a quick service location, remember to ask for free iced water, as this can help cut drinks costs significantly.

Still not sure where to find cheap food? Below we’ve listed some of our favourite budget dining options at Walt Disney World.

Our list includes our favourite quick service dining destinations, plus a few affordable Disney World table-service restaurants for days where you fancy something a little more special without breaking the bank:

Magic Kingdom

1) Casey’s Corner

Img 3454 E1746797893252 1

This Main Street USA staple at the Magic Kingdom isn’t the healthiest of options but it’s classic Disney fare that’s been located on this far corner of Main Street for as long as we can remember. It’s famous for its foot-long hotdogs, which come in at around $17, but if you just want a normal-sized hot dog with fries, you can get it for $12. Vegan hot dogs are also available. You’ll also find a Casey’s at Disneyland Paris, where prices are similarly reasonable (10€ or less) – although you won’t find the foot-long hotdogs in France… maybe they just didn’t translate into metric very well (0.3m hotdog doesn’t have quite the same ring!)

2) Columbia Harbour House

Col Harbourhouse 1

There isn’t a huge menu at this quick service Liberty Square eatery at the Magic Kingdom, but what they do serve is really tasty and reasonably priced. You can, for example, get salmon, rice and green beans or a fried shrimp platter for less than $15, fish and chips for around $13 and fried chicken and fries for around $11. If you’re looking for lighter, cheaper bites between all the blow-out meals, this is an excellent choice – in fact, our pick of the quick service destinations, particularly if you like fish.

3) Pinocchio’s Village Haus

Pinocchio Village Haus at Walt Disney World

There are lots of tasty options at this Fantasyland staple in the Magic Kingdom, Florida, including pizzas, flatbreads and chicken strips, all priced for less than $15 and you can have Florida favourite – key lime pie – for dessert. Plus, you get a view over the queues for classic ride It’s A Small World. So you can eat well-priced, delicious food and feel happy that – for once – you’re not standing in a queue. Bargain!

4) Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café

Cosmic Ray’s is one of the biggest quick-service restaurants in Walt Disney World and a dependable budget option at Magic Kingdom. The menu focuses on classic crowd-pleasers – burgers, chicken tenders and sandwiches – with most meals priced between $11–15.

The real draw here is the seating. There’s a large indoor, air-conditioned dining area, making it a welcome break from the heat or rain, and it’s often easier to find a table here than elsewhere in the park. It’s not the most adventurous menu, but if you’re looking for a filling, affordable meal in a comfortable setting, it’s a solid choice.

5) The Plaza Restaurant

This is probably the best-value table-service restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Portions are generous, the menu is simple, and mains like sandwiches, burgers and salads are less than $25, which is very reasonable by Disney standards. It’s particularly good at lunch, and the nostalgic setting makes it feel like a proper sit-down treat without the premium pricing. Reservations are recommended, especially on busy days.

Epcot

6) Sunshine Seasons

I thought this was light on veggie options on our last visit to Florida (they used to do lovely salads) but this Epcot food hall, located in The Land pavilion, still has a good range of reasonably priced breakfast and lunch options (you can’t get dinner here). You can choose from beef tacos, stir fried chicken or shrimp, rotisserie chicken, oak grilled salmon with mash or a Mediterranean vegetable sandwich, all of which come in at the $10-15 mark. And after your meal, you can take your pick of the two rides that are located in this pavilion – Disney favourites Soarin’ and Living with the Land, a boat ride that shows you how staff cultivate the veg you eat at Epcot. During winter, Living with the Land is illuminated, which is quite a festive treat!

7) La Cantina de San Angel

This is a lovely quick service restaurant that overlooks the World Showcase lake outside the Mexico pavilion at Epcot, Walt Disney World. If you like Mexican food, you’ll be muy feliz with the offerings – beef, shrimp or chicken tacos or cheese tortillas, all priced around the $14-16 mark. There is a kids’ menu too but a disappointing shortage of vegan/ veggie options.

8) Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Cakes at Les Halles Epcot

This is a really delicious destination, tucked away at the back of the France Pavillion in Epcot (where the exit to the Impressions de France/ Beauty and the Beast film is located). There is a huge array of patisserie, sandwiches, quiches and soups, many of which are priced at less than $10. It’s also a great place for dessert lovers, with beautifully presented pastries that feel indulgent without blowing the budget.

So what’s the catch? Seating is extremely limited, particularly at lunchtimes (as are the toilets – there are generally huge queues). Our tip? Either dine at off-peak times (eg mid-afternoon), or grab your food and take it elsewhere – the nearby Morocco Pavillion is usually quite chilled. See our piece on the best quiet places to escape the crowds at Walt Disney World.

9) Connections Eatery

Located near Spaceship Earth, Connections Eatery is one of Epcot’s newest and best quick-service options. The menu leans into crowd-pleasers – pizza, burgers, salads and plant-based dishes – but the quality is good and there’s plenty of indoor seating.

Most mains come in around $11-15, making it a good-value stop for families.

10) Epcot’s festival booths

Epcot flower festival menu

For much of the year, Epcot stages food festivals and you’ll find an array of booths located around its World Showcase Lagoon. These little outdoor kitchens are gold for budget bites. Many small plates – like tacos, international sliders, or plant-based options – are often $7–$12 each, so you can sample multiple countries for less than a standard quick-service meal. Again, the only issue can be finding somewhere to sit and enjoy your meal – quiet spots can be found in Italy, Morocco and Canada or some Disney fans just balance their meal on top of a bin (disclaimer: we have never, ever done this. It was just someone who looked like us).

Hollywood Studios

11) Backlot Express

This Hollywood Studios casual dining destination in Florida offers lunch and dinner options – such as burgers, chicken bowls and salads – at reasonable prices. Again, there’s a disappointing lack of options for vegan/ veggie eaters – one bowl of tofu salad doesn’t really cut it. Our tip: if the weather is looking gloomy, try to find a table indoors as outside can get very soggy if the heavens open.

12) ABC Commissary

Shrimp Tacos at ABC Commissary

Shrimp or pork tacos, chicken club sandwiches, and plant-based burgers ($11–15). Small menu but solid variety.

13) Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is one of the best-value quick-service spots in Hollywood Studios and an easy win for budget-conscious visitors. The menu leans into nostalgic comfort food, with grilled cheese sandwiches, breakfast bowls and hearty melts typically priced between $9–13. It’s particularly good for breakfast, thanks to its all-day morning menu and portions are generous. The main drawback can be the lack of seating. Our tip is to mobile order and eat earlier or later to avoid the worst of the crowds.

14) 50s Prime Time Café

So this is fun! If you don’t mind being told off for your table manners while dining, you’ll find this kitsch, 50s-themed destination is one of the better-value table-service restaurants in Hollywood Studios, especially for comfort food lovers. Portions are generous and mains like meatloaf, fried chicken or pot roast usually fall in the $20–25 range (although a couple of options stray over $30).

If you’re sharing sides or skipping dessert, this can work well as a budget sit-down meal – and the themed interaction makes it feel like more than “just lunch”.

Animal Kingdom

16) Harambe Market

Harambe Market is one of Animal Kingdom’s most atmospheric quick-service spots. Located in the Africa section of the park, this open-air marketplace serves kebabs, bowls and flatbreads inspired by African flavours.

You’ll usually find beef or chicken kebabs, rice bowls and salads priced in the $11–15 range, making it a solid option for a filling lunch that still feels a bit special. There are also plant-based options available, which isn’t always a given at Disney quick service.

Seating is mostly outdoors but shaded, and it tends to feel calmer than Discovery Island at peak times – especially around lunchtime.

17) Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafes

Not to be confused with the table service restaurant with a similar name, Yak and Yeti is located in Asia at the Animal Kingdom. It offers solid budget eats – think fried rice bowls and egg rolls for less than $12, making it one of the better value quick-service picks in the park.

18) Pizzafari

Tucked away in Discovery Island at the Animal Kingdom, this spot has pizzas, salads, and easy shareable options – including a simple Caesar salad under $10, and flatbreads and pizzas comfortably under $15. It’s a good choice for kids or lighter meals.

19) Flame Tree Barbecue

A park favourite at the Animal Kingdom, known for its hearty smoked meats and generous portions, with meals like pulled pork mac & cheese or ribs/chicken combos around budget-friendly prices. Great for lunch that fills you up after trekking Pandora or Kilimanjaro Safari.

20) Satu’li Canteen

Satu’li Canteen is widely regarded as one of the best quick-service dining spots at Walt Disney World – and it’s a standout for value, quality and choice. Located in Pandora at the Animal Kingdom, this Avatar-themed canteen serves fresh, customisable bowl food rather than standard theme park fast food. Basically, you choose a base (rice, noodles or salad, add some protein (chicken, beef, shrimp or plant-based options) and a sauce. Most mains are priced at less than $20 and portions are generous enough to keep you going for the rest of the day.

As a non-meat eater, I really appreciate its offering – it’s one of the few quick-service options with clearly marked plant-based dishes and menu selections that don’t feel like an afterthought. There’s plenty of indoor seating too, making it a comfortable escape from the Florida heat.

Disney Springs

21) 4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck

This is a tasty little place to stop by if you’re shopping at Disney Springs. It offers a nice range of Mexican-inspired tacos, all for around $12. The one downside at Disney Springs can be finding somewhere to sit and eat that’s out of the heat. Our tip is to take your food to The Landing area nearby, where you’ll find shaded benches and waterside seating that tend to be quieter than the main thoroughfares.

22) Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is one of the most reliable budget dining options at Disney Springs, especially if you’re feeding a group or travelling with picky eaters. The concept is simple: custom-built pizzas made to order, with a wide range of toppings included in the price.\

Individual pizzas typically come in at around $11–14 – amazing value – and portions are generous enough that one pizza can comfortably fill most adults. There are also good plant-based and gluten-free options, which makes this a flexible choice for mixed dietary needs. Seating is mostly indoors and air-conditioned and service is quick, even at peak times.

23) Cookes of Dublin

My little boy loves fish and chips and, while it’s easier to find in Florida than you’d think, it definitely doesn’t feature on every menu. So a trip to Cookes is a real treat for him. It’s another quick-service option with an adult portion of the famous dish coming in at less than $18 and there are other similarly well-priced options (fried chicken, burgers and pies). Seating is outdoors and shared with the surrounding area, but it’s usually easier to find a spot here than near the food trucks — especially if you head slightly away from peak dining times.

Disney resorts

So if you actually want something a little more leisurely than any of the quick service destinations above but you don’t want to blow the budget, here’s our top tip: go for lunch at a Disney hotel.

Lunch at a table-service destination can work out as far better value than dinner. It’s also generally easier to book and it fits into your schedule surprisingly easily. While dinner can often clash with the nighttime entertainment, meaning you risk missing the fireworks, a sit-down lunch can be an excellent pit-stop in a hot, tiring day, just as the Florida sun is at its peak.

You don’t have to be a Disney guest to dine at a Disney hotel and we would strongly recommend their dining options as a way of saving money. Below are a couple of resort eateries to try:

24) Ale & Compass Restaurant

Eggs Benedict at the Ale and Compass

This nautical-themed restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club has a fantastic menu with most options (including fish and chips, chicken and waffles or crab cakes Benedict) coming in at less than $20 (not including the service charge). When we went at Easter, the place was deserted apart from us and it’s just a short walk from the International Gateway exit at Epcot. Cross the lake and you’ll find another of our favourite budget options: Disney’s Boardwalk Hotel’s pizza window and bakery, where most options cost less than $10 and there’s seating right outside.

25) Grand Floridian Café

Avocado toast at the Grand Floridian Cafe

So this is a real treat – in some ways, we’ve saved the best til last. The Grand Floridian is Disney’s premier resort… the place where all the celebs have stayed. Its elegant 19th Century seaside resort exteriors sit on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, just a stone’s throw from the entrance to the Magic Kingdom entrance, so it’s very easy to get to, either by boat, monorail or on foot.

Eggs Benedict at the Grand Floridian Cafe

Despite all this grandeur, The Grand Floridian Café is very reasonably priced, with most mains coming in at less than $30 (although, obviously, as a sit-down meal you also have to pay a service charge). We would recommend going for brunch, which is even better value than dinner, and a real treat. Avocado on toast and tofu bowls sit alongside grand breakfasts, steak and eggs and Eggs Benedict in a wonderfully extensive and delicious menu. The service is top-notch too. If you aim for around 11am, the food will keep you going all day.

The one downside is – it’s busy. So definitely book in advance of your stay.
